Dr. Susan Lieff outlines how to position your career within a long‑term professional trajectory beginning in residency. She highlights key questions to consider at various stages of career development and presents her published model of professional fulfillment, explaining how it can direct career exploration and decision‑making. Participants are encouraged to set goals for their next steps in career exploration.

Speaker’s Biography:
Susan Lieff is a certified leadership and career coach who helps academics and professionals strengthen their leadership capacity and navigate purposeful career growth and transitions. A Professor Emerita in the Department of Psychiatry at the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto, Susan founded and directed the award-winning New and Evolving Academic Leaders (NEAL) program, graduating more than 250 health sciences leaders in Canada and internationally. She also served as Vice-Chair of Education in the Department of Psychiatry before retiring from academic and clinical practice in June 2024 to focus exclusively on coaching. Her multidisciplinary training includes a Certificate in Organizational Coaching (UBC), an International Masters in Health Leadership (McGill), and a Master of Education (OISE/University of Toronto).
