“Randomized Trial of Benznidazole for Chronic Chagas’ Cardiomyopathy”

Moderator: Dr. Isaac Bogoch, Assistant Professor, Infectious Diseases, Department of Medicine
Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto; PGME Global Health Lead, Medicine
Dr. Bogoch completed medical school and internal medicine training at the University of Toronto. He then pursued an infectious diseases fellowship through the Harvard Partners program, and an HIV fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital. He holds a Masters degree in clinical epidemiology from the Harvard School of Public Health, and a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene from the Gorgas Memorial Institute and the Instituto de Medicina Tropical in Lima, Peru.
Objectives:
Special thanks to Dr. Emilie Chan for her initiative in leading the inaugural PGME Global Health Journal Club; led by PGME Global Health Education Initiative and University of Toronto Department of Medicine. This club aims to engage current and graduate GHEI participants with the PGME global health community in discussion of global issues and provide a supportive environment for all from across all programs and specialties.
