Cognition, Culture and Credibility: Deconstructing Feedback in Medical Education

Educators agree: learners need feedback. But what do we expect feedback to accomplish? And how is it that so often fails to resonate with learners? In this session, the individual and sociocultural influences on the success or failure of the feedback exchange in medical training will be critically examined and opportunities for meaningful progress will be explored.
