Shakir Hussain
Manager, Education Systems
Shakir Hussain supports the day-to-day work of the Systems team for Postgraduate Medical Education. He contributes to the development, planning, and implementation of technology systems and strategies in close collaboration with MedIT, ensuring that initiatives align with the Temerty Faculty of Medicine strategic goals and ongoing sustainability for medical education.
Prior to joining the University of Toronto, Shakir led educational technology teams at the Schulich School of Business at York University and Northwestern University in Qatar. Shakir holds graduate degrees from the University of Southern California (EdD) and Pennsylvania State University (MEd).
Shakir is currently covering for Carolina Rios while she is on leave.
