CAME Rising Star
Certificate of Excellence
Purpose
This award is intended to recognize outstanding postgraduate trainees who have demonstrated a commitment and/or passion for medical education. This could be education research, curriculum or workshop development, leadership, advocacy, etc., that has had a positive impact for the health professions education community.
Award
This award consists of a certificate and the opportunity to write an article for the CAME Voice. This award is intended to recognize an individual trainee. Joint or group nominations will not be accepted.
Criteria and Consideration
Each Department of the Temerty Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto is eligible to nominate one resident or fellow. Applicants must be registered postgraduate trainees at the University of Toronto for the current academic year. A previous winner cannot be nominated.
Nomination Process
Each nomination package must have 1 copy of the following:
- Nomination letter from Program Director outlining the specific contributions of the trainee in the area of education (Letter to be a maximum of two pages)
- Nomination letter should be addressed to Dr. Suzanne Schneeweiss, UofT’s CAME Representative
- Curriculum Vitae
- Nomination package must be submitted electronically in a PDF format
Selection Process
Applications will be reviewed and ranked by the Postgraduate Awards Committee. All applicants will be notified of the outcome.
