Carolina Mitchell (Rios) has been appointed to the position of Manager, Education Technology and Systems Management. In this role, she will oversee and coordinate the day-to-day work of the Systems team for Postgraduate Medical Education. She will contribute to the development, planning and implementation of technology systems and strategies, ensuring that initiatives align with the Temerty Faculty of Medicine strategic goals, including the new MedIT Department, as well as ongoing sustainability for medical education.
Carolina has been at UofT for the last 11 years in progressively responsible roles related to project management, education technology, and stakeholder relations. Most recently Carolina has been a Project Manager for the Medical Education Information Technology Transformation (MEITT) project, stepping in for Jennifer Craig, while Jennifer was on maternity leave. Previously Carolina was a Project Manager of Learner Systems Integration for PGME, where she spearheaded the implementation of Elentra for CBME for both Royal College programs as well as Family Medicine. Carolina has a Master of Education from U of T as well as certification as a Project Management Professional with the PMI.
