Hospital Health and Safety Policy Modules

• Use Google Chrome or Firefox for the best experience
• Access modules 1-6 through the “HHSP Modules” option in the left main menu on POWER. 
• Click on each outstanding module to complete
• Save a screenshot as proof of completion in case POWER does not update completion
• These modules must be completed regardless of the length of your training.

Modules 1 through 6 Subject Matter: 

1. Donning and Doffing Personal Protective Equipment 
2. Emergency Colour Code System 
3. Hand Hygiene 
4. Sharps Safety Module 
5. Workplace Violence and Harassment 
6. WHMIS - Workplace Hazardous Materials Information Systems

Module 7 Subject Matter:

• 7. Integrated Privacy and Cyber Security eLearning

  • Estimated completion time: 30-45 minutes.
  • Ensure a stable internet connection.
  • System logs out after 90 minutes of inactivity.
  • Do not use your browsers back button, as this will reset your progress.
  • Take a picture of the 100% completion screen as proof, as anything less will not be accepted 

Modules 8 & 9 – Externally Managed (Not Administered by PGME)

• PGME cannot troubleshoot or resolve technical issues.
• If you have already completed these modules (from residency or prior positions), you do not need to retake them. Completion from any date is accepted.
• Retain a copy of your certificates for future reference.
• Upload all certificates to the Registration Document Portal.
• Acceptable formats: .jpg, .tiff, .bmp, .pdf, .doc, email.

Modules 8 & 9 Subject Matter and Links:

• 8. Worker Health and Safety Awareness Module(WHSA) 
  • Browsers: Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Safari
  • Certificate: Enter your correct email address at the end of the module; the certificate will be emailed to you (check your spam/junk). 
  • Backup Proof: Take a screenshot/picture of the final completion screen (when the email request box appears).
  • If Needed: If you do not receive the certificate, upload the screenshot to the Registration Document Portal with your full name, signature, and date as proof of completion. 
• 9. Working Together: The Code and the AODA Module (AODA)
  • Browsers: Chrome 20+, Firefox 4+, Microsoft Edge, Safari
  • Backup Proof: Take a screenshot/picture of the final completion screen
  • If Needed: If you do not receive the certificate, upload the screenshot to the Registration Document Portal with your full name, signature, and date as proof of completion.
