Teachers POWER Screen

In order to have access to POWER, the teacher must first be added as such into the residency program by the program administrator, with the help of the POWER Helpdesk.

The teacher receives their pin and password in the initial email notification that is sent to the teacher only once they are assigned to an evaluation in POWER, and the evaluation is available to complete.

For teachers to access evaluations, follow instructions below.

Once logged into POWER, if they have teacher roles in multiple programs then the programs will be listed on their Home page. Menu items available are dependent on the access the residency program grants to its teachers.

To access evaluations for a program, click the program name and it will turn into red text.

To begin the evaluation process, click the yellow ‘NEW!’ icon next to the evaluation form required. The evaluation can be Saved for later completion and will appear in ‘….continue’ status. Click this icon to access it once saved.

To view outstanding and completed evaluations at the same time, change the View filter to All.

Below is the meaning of each evaluation icon, as shown in the screen shot below.

Exclamation mark in red circle = evaluation completed by assigned teacher but not reviewed by the trainee yet.
Green thumbs up = trainee has reviewed the evaluation and agrees with it.
Red thumbs down = trainee has reviewed the evaluation and does not agree with it.
Magnifying glass = view or print the evaluation.
