Learner Educational Content - Deadline Reminder
The Introduction to Office of Learner Affairs (OLA) and Teaching in Residency (TiR) modules, launched in Quercus in July 2025, are mandatory for PGY1s to complete. Please remind your learners of the following deadlines for completion:
Deadlines:
- Regular cycle PGY1s: September 30, 2025
- Off-cycle PGY1s: January 30, 2026
The OLA module (20 mins) introduces resident resources and support services, while the TiR module (30–45 mins) builds foundational teaching skills.
Access:
Learners must log into Quercus at https://q.utoronto.ca/courses/394125 with their UTORid, password, and two factor authentication (UTORMFA).
Save the Date: Fellow Leadership Development Day
Tuesday, April 21, 2026 | In-person | Full day
PGME will host a free, Fellow Leadership Development Day, open to all clinical fellows registered with PGME. Registration will open shortly, and space will be limited.
The day will feature plenary speakers and interactive workshops focused on effective communication, conflict management, power dynamics, coaching, and career planning. Sessions will also emphasize practical career skills such as CV refinement, interview strategies, and positioning leadership experiences for future academic and clinical opportunities.
