Hospital Health and Safety Policy Modules

• Access modules 1-6 through the “HHSP Modules” option in the left main menu on POWER. 
• Click on each outstanding module to complete
• Save a screenshot as proof of completion in case POWER does not update completion
• These modules must be completed regardless of the length of your training.

3. Hand Hygiene 
4. Sharps Safety Module 
5. Workplace Violence and Harassment 
6. WHMIS - Workplace Hazardous Materials Information Systems

Module 7 Subject Matter:

  • Estimated completion time: 30-45 minutes.
  • Ensure a stable internet connection.
  • System logs out after 90 minutes of inactivity.
  • Do not use your browsers back button, as this will reset your progress.
  • Take a picture of the 100% completion screen as proof, as anything less will not be accepted 

• Modules 8 and 9 are managed externally and are not administered by PGME; therefore, we are unable to troubleshoot or resolve any technical issues. 
• If you have previously completed the Workers Health and Safety Awareness and The  Working Together: The Code modules, you are NOT required to retake them. PGME accepts completion from any date, including those from residency or prior positions. 
• Please retain a copy of your certificate for future reference and ensure all completion certificates are uploaded to the  PGME Form Site.
  • Acceptable upload formats: .jpg, .tiff, .bmp, .pdf, .doc, email.

• 8. Worker Health and Safety Awareness Module(WHSA) 
  • Preferred Browser for best experience: Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Safari Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Safari
  • WHSA Certificate: Your certificate will be emailed to you. Use the correct email address and check your spam/junk folder. 
  • Backup Proof: Take a picture of the completion screen when the email request box appears in case the email doesn’t arrive. 
  • If Needed: If you don’t receive the certificate, upload the screenshot to the PGME Form Site with your signature, printed name, and date to attest to completion. 
• 9. Working Together: The Code and the AODA Module (AODA)
  • Preferred Browser for best experience: Chrome 20+, Firefox 4+, Microsoft Edge, Safari
  • One-time completion required. If previously completed, save a copy of your certificate for future use
  • Upload all completion certificates to the PGME Form Site
