Shannon joined PGME in 2017 as International Relationship Manager with a focus on ensuring strategic alignment of recruitment and program training capacity and to maintain and develop international relationships. She plays a key strategic role in the development and promotion of postgraduate medical training with external agencies and governments.
Shannon has extensive experience in creating and maintaining international relationships, working with internationally educated learners to provide a concierge service for application, and mentoring and coaching of learners for continuing professional development opportunities.
Previously Shannon has held various roles in affiliated hospitals supporting international learners and creating opportunities for them to gain experience in the learning environment.
Shannon’s expertise in, and passion for, postgraduate medical education and international learners is important in ensuring the University of Toronto continues to train the best and the brightest postgraduate medical trainees.
