CMPA introduces Equity Scholarship for the International Congress on Academic Medicine (ICAM)

General

The Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) is committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) and recognizes the systemic barriers and inequities and socioeconomic challenges that ICAM participants who are underrepresented may face. As such, the organization is taking steps to help increase the ability of individuals from equity-deserving groups who self-identify as Black, Indigenous, or racialized to contribute their research and knowledge to the healthcare field.

To this aim, CMPA has introduced an Equity Scholarship to assist physicians and physician trainees that self-identify as Black, Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit and Métis) or racialized participants to attend the 2024 International Congress on Academic Medicine (ICAM).

About the CMPA Equity Scholarship

CMPA will provide a total of three (3) Equity scholarships to attend the 2024 International Congress on Academic Medicine (ICAM) in Vancouver, BC from April 12-15, 2024.
The scholarship will cover individual registration fee (any category) only. Additional costs, such as travel, accommodations, meals, incidentals, etc., are not covered by the scholarship.
